Planks strengthen your core, improve your posture and coordination, and help reduce back pain, which is why we are challenging you to show off your best plank position in our 30-Day Plank Challenge! Below are the details for this friendly competition, please let me know if you have any questions.

Competition Dates: March 1, 2018 – March 30, 2018

Who Can Participate: All TPDers can participate.

Details: This is a team competition, each team should have two participants. The max amount of points a team can accumulate throughout this challenge is 30 points, a half a point from each team member per day.

The following guidelines will apply:

  • We will be following the schedule that was previously emailed to you.

  • Two sets of planks each day are required to complete the event for the first week of the competition. You should be holding your first plank, resting for 60 seconds and then holding your second plank. After the 7th day, only one plank is required per day.

  • We are asking that you do a forearm plank position throughout the competition.

  • You should always be in proper form, which can be found here:

Please let HR know if you need to modify the exercise, we have alternative exercises so everyone will be able to participate if they would like to.

Reward: Everyone receives the points they accumulate throughout the challenge, which will be added to the their 2018 Wellness Points. Teams that reach 30 points will be put in a raffle for a chance to win a basket of their choice, valued at $300.00.
