Being kind to others causes people to want to return the favor to you. Thus, making you feel better about yourself. Speaking with kindness can boost one's confidence and builds their ability to perform exceptionally.
Being kind leads to better relationships:
Kindness promotes respect and trust. Acting respectfully reflects appreciative feelings for another person or group, thus building trust which is the foundation for prospering relationships. These are key in creating a good climate for building relationships.
