Did you know that people who walk on a regular basis have increased muscle strength, higher energy levels and improved health and well-being? Walking helps reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes and some cancers. Health professionals recommend walking at least 10,000 steps a day to achieve those benefits.

So, get ready to move, because today we will have the "On the Spot" Challenge!

The person with the most steps from 9am - 2pm will win a prize.

Think you can’t do it? There are lots of ways to sneak more steps into your day. Take the stairs, walk at lunch or on your coffee break. Get off the subway a stop or two early. Have a walking meeting. Walk to your co-worker’s desk instead of sending an email. And walk your way to an amazing prize!

You will need a pedometer, activity tracker, or you can download the free app "https://www.moves-app.com/" target="_blank" target="_blank" >Moves on your phone. While this will be on the honour system, please make sure we can verify your results, so if it’s not trackable, make sure to take a picture before you reset!
