Admin How-To Guide

Challenge Types

ChallengeRunner offers and unprecedented variety of wellness challenge types. Using the ChallengeRunner platform, the admin can create a standard date-based challenge, a tournament, a point-based challenge, or a virtual race. Any challenge type can be operated with individuals, teams, or a combination of both.

Date-Based (Standard) Challenge

In a Date-Based or "Standard" challenge, the admin sets the start and end dates. At the end of the last day, the participant with the most points on the leaderboard wins. Click here for more information on creating a standard challenge.

Tournament

In a Tournament, the admin sets the start and end date of the first round. Once that round completes, the system automatically generates additional rounds with the winners of each round advancing. This process continues until only two participants remain and a winner can be declared. Click here for more information on creating a wellness tournament.

Point-Based

A Point-Based challenge is used to award a winner when a particular point total is reached instead of a specific date. Click here for more information on creating a point-based challenge.

Virtual Race

ChallengeRunner, in conjunction with AccuRun, can now be used to manage virtual races for participants. In this type of challenge, the admin sets the distance and specific date and time or date range when runners can use the AccuRun app to compete. The runner with the best time wins. Click here for more information on the creating a virtual race.
