Description:

Let’s kick off the new school year with a new attitude about healthy living.  The Gallatin County Extension Service is sponsoring the Healthy Living Challenge.  We challenge you to be more physically active, walk 10,000 steps each day, and eat healthier.  Little changes that will have big impact.

By participating in the Healthy Living Challenge you will receive weekly emails with healthy tidbits or recipes and find surprises in your school mail boxes.  You will also be able to compete with other schools.  The school received the most points will receive a FREE park bench made from the recycled plastic bottle caps and lids.  The individual with the most points will receive a grand prize of $100.

Challenge starts August 20 and will end October 1.

To track your steps, you can use your own tracking device (Fitbit, Fuel band, Garmin, etc.,) an app on your mobile phone, or if you do not have access to any of these options a pedometer will be provided for you.  Start the journey of becoming healthier and receive surprises and rewards for your efforts along the way!
