2018 Walking For Wellness

The 2018 Walking For Wellness Challenge will promote wellness by encouraging participant teams to walk more often during the day. It will also encourage walkers to get to know employees in other departments. Participants may use a pedometer or other step tracker to record the number of daily steps taken and upload or enter this number into the ChallengeRunner.com system either through the website or by using the ChallengeRunner smartphone apps. While it is recommended that individual team members log steps every evening, they have up to five days to record daily steps. We want our numbers to be as accurate throughout the challenge as possible.

The 2018 Walking For Wellness Challenge will run from May 21, 2018 to ending July 1, 2018.

At the conclusion of the challenge, the Top 3 step teams will be awarded prizes.

There will also be a prize for the person who walks the most steps overall.

The Basic Walking Challenge has the following characteristics:

  • In the leaderboard, each individual team member is able to see where they stand in relation to other participants using real names.

  • Steps are to be recorded and logged every day; however, participants may enter steps taken up to 5 days after the log date.

  • Although activity trackers are supported, they are not required. You do need to have some type of step counter.  Particiants may enter their own data using the ChallengeRunner website or ChallengeRunner smartphone apps.
