3-61 CAV Walk to Kosovo and Afghanistan
The 3-61 CAV Walk to Kosovo and Afghanistan will promote wellness and support 2IBCT Soldiers downrange by encouraging participants to move more often during the day. Participants may use a pedometer or other step tracker to record the number of daily miles traveled and record this number into the ChallengeRunner.com system either through the website or by using the ChallengeRunner smartphone apps. While it is recommended that participants log distance every evening, they have up to seven days to record daily distance. The totals of those distances are then compared against one another and a real-time leaderboard is made available.
This challenge will run throughout the deployment. At the conclusion of the challenge, the participants with the top three recorded steps will be awarded the following:
- First Place Award
- Second Place Award
- Third Place Award
In addition, every participant who records a minimum of X miles ( will receive a participation award.
The 3-61 CAV Walk to Kosovo and Afghanistan has the following characteristics:
- In the leaderboard, each participant is able to see where they stand in relation to other participants using individual identification numbers.
- Distance should be recorded and logged every week; however, participants may enter distance moved up to seven days after the log date.
