The Step Into Spring Challenge will promote wellness by encouraging participants to move their bodies more often during the day. Participants may use a supported activity tracking device to record the steps taken and transmit this number into the ChallengeRunner.com system. Participants will receive 1 point for each day in which they walk at least 10,000 steps. The totals of those steps are then compared against one another, and a real-time leaderboard is generated.
In order to receive data from tracking devices, each participant must first install the appropriate software and create an account on the activity tracker's website. Every participant must then authorize ChallengeRunner.com to capture individual data as follows:
After logging in, the participant must click the Profile link at the top of the home page, select the device, and then click the Authorize link. On the tracker website shown the user must enter their ID and Password they created when they first registered the device.
Once the device is authorized, the user must ensure that they sync their device to the activity tracker's website at least once per day to transmit data.
This challenge will run from April 1st to 30th. At the conclusion of 30 days, the participants with 25 points or above will be entered into a prize drawing for the following:
- Fitbit Alta
- Second Place Award -TBA
- Third Place Award - TBA
