Basic Walking Challenge

The Basic Walking Challenge will promote wellness by encouraging participants to walk more often during the day. Participants may use a pedometer or other step tracker to record the number of daily steps taken and record this number into the ChallengeRunner.com system either through the website or by using the ChallengeRunner smartphone apps. While it is recommended that participants log steps every evening, they have up to seven days to record daily steps.
This challenge will run for six weeks. At the conclusion of six weeks, the participants with the top three recorded steps will be awarded the following:
- First Place Award
- Second Place Award
- Third Place Award
In addition, every participant who records a minimum of 180,000 steps (4000 daily) will receive a participation award.
The Basic Walking Challenge has the following characteristics:
- In the leaderboard, each participant is able to see where they stand in relation to other participants using real names.
- Participants are allowed to enter up to 20,000 steps (10 miles) each day.
- Steps are to be recorded and logged every day; however, participants may enter steps taken up to seven days after the log date.
