This Challenge will promote wellness by encouraging participants to walk more often during their day. Participants either use a pedometer, a fitness tracker (fitbit, garmen, etc) or average out steps from miles (if you chosse to provide step estimatesplease request from Kristen Conley the Step Table if you need it again) to record into the ChallengeRunner.com system. While it is recommended that you log steps every evening, you have up to seven days to record steps - except the last week of the challenge.
This challenge will run for 3 months - August - October. At the conclusion of the 3rd Quarter, the participants with the top three recorded steps will be awarded:
1. 1st Place Award
2. 2nd Place Award
3. 3rd place Award
In addition, every participant who records a minimum of 150,000 steps (5000 steps daily) will recieve a Participation Award.
This challenge has the following characteristics:
- Each participant is able to see where they stand in relation to other participants.
- Participants are allowed to enter up to 20,000 steps each day.
- Steps are to be recorded and logged every day; however, participants may enter steps taken up to seven days after the log date (with the exception of the last week of the challenge.) All entries MUST be logged in by 11/1/16 to be counted!
