Subject: Heart Health Month is here – share your heart, strengthen your heart!

Pillsbury’s annual Heart Health Month starts February 1! Over the last few years, our partners and employees committed enthusiastically to their heart health through improved nutrition, dedicated stress breaks and increased movement. You also shared your hearts with your local communities via service projects. In fact, this strong desire to share your heart got us thinking about our approach to Heart Health Month. Research supports what we know to be true – supporting others provides a greater sense of wellbeing and strengthens our hearts.

With that in mind, this year we are reallocating Heart Health Month dollars from activities that celebrate ourselves (kickoff and wrap up parties, chocolate delivered on Valentine’s Day, prizes for the Golden Shoe Challenge, for example) to funding service projects that support people in need. Each office will determine its service projects, which will include assembling care kits for the local homeless, at-risk youths or Veterans population, , donating clothing in a collection drive and more. In addition, the points you earn in the Challenge are more heavily weighted to the “share your heart” category.

Our goal to educate and inspire each of us to strengthen our hearts is not going away. Through the Challenge, workshops and friendly local competitions, you will experience lots of opportunities to focus on your heart health, too.

Whether you are a returning heart-healther or joining anew, consider what heart health means to you, and importantly, ways you would like to share and strengthen your heart this month. You are invited to join us:

February 5 Wear Red Day!
February 1-29 “Heart and Sole” Wellbeing Challenge – Who will unseat last year’s “Heart and Sole” winning team from the Sacramento office? As in prior years, you earn points when you move your feet, take stress breaks, eat a champion’s breakfast and share your heart with your community. This year, points are more heavily weighted to “Share Your Heart” activities.

Sign up by midnight (Pacific) February 1 – that’s in the next 11 days – and receive 5,000 bonus points. (So far, every Challenge winner has been decided by a handful of points, so do not delay.)

Current RallyOn users sign in with your email and password. New users, fill out the registration pop up. Consider being a team captain and inviting others to join – including family and friends! Teams are maximum of 6 people.
