Advanced Walking & Weight Loss Challenge

The Advanced Walking & Weight Loss Challenge will promote wellness by encouraging participants to walk more often during the day and lose weight. To receive points, participants must weigh in once a week with the help of the program administrator.
The admin will then note the participant weight in pounds and record this number into the ChallengeRunner.com system. The participant may also use a pedometer to record the number of daily steps taken and record this number into theChallengeRunner.com system.
Participants will receive 10 challenge points for every percent of weight lost and 1 challenge point for each 1000 steps walked.
This challenge will run for six weeks. At the conclusion of six weeks, the participants with the top three point totals will be awarded the following:
- First Place Award
- Second Place Award
- Third Place Award

The Advanced Walking & Weight Loss Challenge has the following characteristics:
- Due to the personal nature of weight loss challenges, in the leaderboard each participant is able to see where they stand in relation to other participants using anonymous names.
- Participants are allowed to view their own weight loss data through the online system but will not be able to make edits.
- Participants are allowed to enter up to 20,000 steps (10 miles) each day.
- Steps are to be recorded and logged every day; however, participants may enter steps taken up to seven days after the log date.
